James and Elizabeth had ten children. Seven have been identified:
1. Rachelb. ????, m. James Tarpley Hooker (q.v.).
2. Catherineb. 1807, m. John Crews.
3. Elizabeth L.b. ????, m. Haynes Bryan.
4. James H.b. 1815, m. Frances E. ??????.
S. Jonathan K.b. 1820, m. Sarah S. P. Smith.
6. John T.b. 1824, m. never married.
7. William J. D.b. 1827, m. Jennet McDonald.
As early as October 1810, James D. was in Glynn County, Georgia. By November 1813, he was a private in the Wayne County militia, in Lt. J. B. Stewart's Company and from December 1814 to January 1815, he was in Capt. Richard Walker's Detachment at Fort Wayne. He also was a Justice of the Peace in Wayne County from 1814 to 1816. In 1821, James D. received a Bounty Land Grant in Wayne County and in 1822 his wife was a member of the High Bluff Baptist Church.
From December 1823 to August 1824, James D. was one of five men appointed by the Georgia State Legislature to select a site for the permanent county seat of Wayne County. In May 1826, he sold his land in Wayne County and, before 1830, moved to Hamilton County Florida.
From 1834 to 1839, James D. received five patents for land in Hamilton County and in September of 1839 he and Elizabeth were listed among the founders of the Prospect Primitive Baptist Church in that county.
In 1844, he became the guardian of the orphaned children of his deceased daughter Rachel and her deceased husband, James Tarpley Hooker. The guardianship of Elizabeth B. and Caroline Matilda Hooker was formalized in 1846. In April and October 1852, James sold almost all of his land in Hamilton County. Neither he nor his wife appear in the 1860 census records which may indicate that they both died between 1852 and 1860.

WALDRON, GEORGE W. S.
1813-1895
PIERCE
George W. S. Waldron was an early resident of that portion of Ware now Pierce County, but moved from there to Florida in the early 1840s. He was born Jan. 13, 1813, in Bryan County, son of Oliver Waldron (Vol.17). He was thrice married. His first wife was Henrietta Raulerson, born March 12, 1818, daughter of Jacob Raulerson (Vol.I). They were married Sept. 5, 1833 in Wayne County, Ga. and she died 1838. By her two children were born. The second wife was Catherine Stewart, born May 18, 1820, in Wayne County, daughter of James B. Stewart (Vol.I). Five children were born by her. She died at her home in Columbia Co. Fla., June 10, 1874. The third wife was Mrs. Rebecca Lane-Raulerson of Columbia Co. Fla., born Jan. 9, 1845. By her six children were born. These thirteen children were:
1. Mical M.b. 1834, m. 1st. Wm. Adams; 2nd. Parker R. Adams.
2. James Carrollb. 1836, m. Emily E. Adams.
3. Eliasb. 1840, m. Rodena Wood.
4. Keightly S.b. 1845, m. Frances M. Sanchez-Stewart-Hernandez.
5. George W.b. 1847, m. Mary K. Green.
6. Newton Oliverb. 1849. m. 1st. Sarah E. Smith, Dec. 18, 1879; 2nd. Susan Knowles, dau. of James J.
7. Franklin Pierce b. 1854, m. Charity C. Green.
8. John C. C.b. 1864, m. Rebecca F. Mills, dau. of Shadrach.
9. Arizonab. 1866, m. F. J. Mills, son of Shadrach.
10. Minnesotab. 1868, m. Samuel Moody.
11. Oregonb. 1871, died young.
12. George W. S. b. 1874, never married.
13. Lemuel Sebastianb. 1881, m. Mae Prevatt.
Mr. Waldron lived in the 584th militia district of old Ware County, in the portion made into Pierce County in 1858. He served in the Indian War in two enlistments. He was. lieutenant in Capt. Simon Howard's company of Georgia militia, Sept. 10, 1836, and 2nd Corporal in Capt. James A. Sweat's company of Ware County militia, in 1838. He removed to Columbia County, Fla., in 1844, and settled near Suwannee Shoals, where he lived until his death May 24, 1895. He and his wife Catherine were buried at Corinth Methodist Church in Columbia county.
He applied for an Indian War pension Aug. 22, 1892, and stated that he was first married as above stated, and that his first wifeHenrietta died in 1838, and that he then married Catherine Stewart, and that she died as above stated. The pension was granted. His widow, Rebecca, applied May 8, 1911, for an Indian War widow's pension, and stated she was first married to ( ------ ) Raulerson, and then in 1861 to Geo. W. S. Waldron. Her pension was granted.
NOTE: (1) Some discrepancies appear in the record as to the marriages. Geo. W. S. Waldron is referred to in Jacob Raulerson's will as his son-in-law, and was given a legacy of $10.00. In the record as printed in the sketch of Jacob Raulerson his daughter Henrietta is shown as the wife of Abraham N. Knight. The latter was referred to in the Raulerson will as an "heir" along with others of his sons-in-law and children. In the Census of 1850 Knight's wife's name is shown as Harriet and by that name administered his estate in 1866. The Census indicates she was born in 1832 instead of 1818. Descendants say that she was Jacob Raulerson's daughter. Waldron in his pension application, testified that Henrietta (by which name she is shown in the old Jacob Raulerson Bible record) died in 1838.
(2) In her pension papers the third wife testified she and Geo. W. S. Waldron were married in 1861 by Peter Hays. However, the second wife did not die until June 10, 1874, according to his pension application. The 1870 Census shows that he and his wife Katie (Catherine) were living together.
Corinth Methodist Church, Columbia Co., FL records indicate that he was buried here, but no stone has been found.
