Hoyt E. Coppage, 83, of Hahira, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center.
A native of Hahira, GA and was a son to the late Gordon Lee and Willie Ozella Cowart Coppage;; also preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Shepherd Coppage, his second wife, Victoria Spurlock Coppage, four brothers, Johnnie Coppage, Roy Coppage, Slater Coppage and Ray Coppage, two sisters, Lucille Martin and Ruth Hall.
Mr. Coppage was the retired owner and operator of Valdosta Hardware and Mill Supply and worked at Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. He was a member of the Hahira United Methodist Church, served in the United States Army during World War II, a member of the American Legion and the Hahira Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Coppage is survived by his wife, Virginia Bryan Coppage of Hahira, three daughters and two sons in law, Lisa Coppage of San Diego, CA, Roselyn and Wade Allen of Hahira, Jennifer and Lee Pittman of San Antonio, TX.

Johnnie B. Coppage, 54, died at his home here Thursday night after a five-year illness. He was born in Lowndes County and came to Brooks County in 1940 from Mitchell County.
He was a member of the Cat Creek. Primitive Baptist Church in Lowndes County. Mr. Coppage was owner of a grocery and butcher shop in Quitman. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs.
Elzay Caywood, Randall, Mrs. Donald Ramsey, Quitman; two sons, Gordon Coppage, Atlanta, Grady Coppage, Quitman; a sister, Mrs. 0. K. Hall, Hahira; four brothers, Slater Coppage, Valdosta, Ray Coppage, Hahira, Hoyt Coppage, Hahira, Roy Coppage, Palatka, -and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p. m. Saturday at Cat Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Johnny Touchton and Rev. William Smith conducting the rites. Burial will be in Cat Creek Cemetery.
The body will be at his home in Quitman until the time of Maxwell-Eason Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
