General:
Last Will and Testament:
In the name of God amen, I Reubin Jordan being of sound mind & memory -------- god for it, do publish this my last will and testament in manner & form following (that is to say) first I lend unto my beloved wife Jannet all the track of land on which I live, after Turning off the land which I hear in after give unto my two sons Reubin & Fleming. I also lend her one third part of my Slaves agreeable to their value, & all my household furniture Stocks & Plantation tools during her nautural life.

Secondly I give unto my Son Reubin one tract of land lying in the fourteenth district Wilkerson containing two hundred two and an half acres. I also give him all the land I own lying between my spring branch & James _________ land ending with the mianders fo said branch from any spring down to where a small dam comes in. Thence a straight line to the creek & from my spring ____ said branch or drum to my back line contaiing two hundred acres more or less. I also give him two negroes (viz.) Bob & Tom to ham & his heirs for ever ___

Thirdly I give unto my Son Fleming two hundred acres of land more or less on bourding as follows. (Viz) beginning at _____ Creed on Thos. Babers land thence with said line to my back line thence along said line to shere a parrelel line from the head source of a small stream which makes down from my peach orchard with said Babers line would _____ _ head source of said ddrum down to the lower _____ of my present clearing thence a parralel line to th4 creek - I also give him two negroes (Viz.) Bill & Peter to him & his heirs forever

Fourthly I give unto my two Daughters Margaret & Elizabeth the following negroes (Viz) to Margret Chany, Melinda, Lucinda & Leathey - & to Elizabeth, Betsy & her child, Westly, Aaron, Christopher & matilda to them & their heirs forever, but if either of them should marry and not have living issue at their death, that these the negroes I have herein given shall be considered as a part of my estate and be equal divided among my several survinign childern

Fifthly I give unto my two sons Mortimer & Charles Scott the land which I lend to my wife to be sold at the death & the money equally divided between them, but if one of these should die without arriving at the age of twenty one then the other to have all the money, & if both should die, It is my wish that the land be equally divided between my two sons Reubin & Fleming - I also give them all the negroes I lend my wife together with all I own not already given. I also give them all my house hold furniture stock & plantation tools at the death of their mother,

Sixthly havaing provided for my daughter Jane Ware iin her marriage with Martin Crews I give unto her children three hundered dollars to be paid out in a negro girl as soon as the money can be paid from the profits of my estate

Sevethly having provided for my daughter Martha Gaines in her marriage with James Bradley I give unto her one shilling sterling

Finally I do app Appoint my two Sons, Reubin & Fleming executors fo this my last will & testament. Revoking all wills here to fore by me made, in writing whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal this 23 day of April eighteen

State of Georgia appeared in open court Benjamin Stovall one of the witnesses to the written will & after being sworn sayeth that saw the wiething named Reubin Jordan did sign seal ____ ____ & declare the withing instrument of writing to be his last will & testament & at the time of his so doing he was of sound mind & memory to the best of his knowledge & belief.
