1830 Obit Mary Crews Talbot:
DIED--On the 10th inst. in this town, Mrs. MARY TALBOT (consort of Mr. Clayton Talbot,) in the 60th year of her age. In the death of Mrs. Talbot, her family has sustained an afflicting bereavement and society the loss of one of its most worthy members. Her illness was painful and protracted, presenting, at an early period, strong indications of a fatal issue. Her affiction was borne with becoming fortidue & patience, and its termination anticipated with the calness and fullness of the Christian's hope. She had been a member of the Presbyterian Church for about three years previously to her death, and so far as human judgement can be relied on, she exhibited not only a professional, but a practical devotion to the Divine precepts of her Master, She was highly esteemed by those who knew her most intimately. In her domestic and social relations, she has left behind her many fond and cherished recollections of the virtuous and estimable qualities of the heart, long to be remembered with affectionate regard. She was a pious, practical Christian, and expressed to the last period of her illness, an unshaken confidence in the promises of the Gospel.
