Judge Huxford's notes on a handwritten census of the Crews of Clinch county states "children of Joseph Crews Jr. and his wife Sarah in the 1850 Ware Co. census."

1860 census states Julia and brother Simon were living with the Thomas S. Morgan family in Clinch County. She was 11 years of age.

1870 census states Julia was living with her oldest brother Samuel, wife Anna, and their daughter Sarah in Clinch County. Anna was pregnant with soon-to-be son Samuel at this time The census states she was 15 years of age. Judging the age and birth years of her siblings, the age in the 1870 census is incorrect. This info supplied by the Huxford Gen. Society.

DEATH: MRS. KIZZIE M. ANDERSON, HICKOX

Nahunta, Ga., May 8, 1936. Mrs. Kizzie M. Anderson, 79 years of age, died Sunday at her home in Hickox.

She was the widow of the late W. R. Anderson, who died twelve years ago on March 12, 1924. She had lived in ?Charlton and Brantley counties all her life and had a wide host of friends. For more than thirty years she has been a faithful member of the Baptist Church. During the past two years she has been in ill health and has been making her home with her son, M. L. Anderson, living on the Nahunta rural route.

The funeral services was held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hickox Baptist Church with Rev. W.R.
Bell of Millwood, Rev. A.M. McCool of Hoboken and Rev. A. J. Harper of Jesup officiating. Burial in Hickox Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, W. L. Anderson of Pritchettville, S.C., R. L. Anderson of Hortense, M.L.
Anderson of Nahunta; by four daughters, Mrs. A.M. Rozier of Campville, Fla., Mrs. L.T. Wasdin of Winokur, Mrs. N.E. Roddenberry of Winokur, Mrs. J. L. Raulerson of Hortense; by one sister, Mrs. Emmie Dowling of Moniac, and by one brother, Bryant Crews of Hoboken, who is 92 years of age and the only surviving Confederate Veteran in his county, and by a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The pall bearers were Supt. R. D. Thomas, Messrs. W.H.O. Smith, E.B. Newton, J. R. James, Senator Marvin Strickland and Avant Griffin,

The 1910 Census indicates this Laura is a niece to Wylie Carter who was listed as the head of the household. Also note Wylie's mother Sarah, age 60 lives in this same household. Could be Sally Carter's mother therefore Laura is her granddaughter. Wylie is listed as a son and there is a daughter Sarah E. listed in the 1900 Census (Wrights Chapel area of Echols County). The head of the household is also name Sarah E. (no husband listed).
